Exceptional Mid-Century Italian Decorative Art Pottery Jug with Black Line Artwork Over Deep Orange, hand-produced in Italy dating from c.1950, stamp marking to the verso.

We are offering this extraordinary vintage Mid-20th Century hand-produced Italian ceramic art pottery jug dating from c.1950 from Italy. This jug features a rounded shape with an applied handle and a wide opening with a spout. The jug has hard-contrasting line artwork in deep black over orange with a semi-gloss glazed finish. The exceptional artwork and monochromatic colour has a quality reminiscent of Guido Gambone and Marcello Fantoni designs of this period. The jug measures approximately 5” height by 5.5” width. This jug is stamp marked to the underside "Made in Italy". This work was acquired from the original owners and was previously maintained and displayed with great care. The pottery is in excellent condition with no damages and presents beautifully. A truly original creation, hand-painted with no other identical. All photos are of the actual item for auction.
