Victorian Sterling silver christening set, comprising fork, knife and spoon, all hand engraved in one side and with repousse decorations in the other side with vine leaves and vacant cartouches. All in their original leather box with burgundy velvet lined interior. Fully hallmarked for London, 1884, the maker mark is for Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall). The knife is hallmarked for Sheffield with date letter for 1882. The company Martin, Hall & Co had factories in Sheffield and London, with showrooms in Birmingham, Glasgow and Sydney.
The set is in good conditions, the decorations are crisp with vacant cartouches. The box must to be open carefully because the clasp is broken.
