For sale here is this fine, striking and repeating French carriage clock by Couaillet Freres. This beautiful clock is housed in an elegant gilt brass case. It has a quality 8-day movement which strikes the hours and half hours a gong and repeats the hours when the button on top is pressed. It dates from circa 1900.

The clock measures 7 1/4 inches high with the handle up (5 3/4 inches high with the handle down), 4 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches deep. The brass case is in very good original condition and the glass is all fine.  The clock has been checked and oiled and is working well. It will come with a key. The original leather surface on the wooden case has mostly worn off. 

The unpacked weight is around 2.4kg (approximately 5lbs 5oz).
