Vintage 1930’s etching titled “The Smuggler” by New England artist Gillette French. Titled and signed in pencil, paper is aged and tanned with curled edges, measures 9 1/4 x 6 inches. French was active in the 1930’s through 1950’s illustrating a handful of children’s books.
