You are looking at a classic older general purpose microphone made by Electro Voice in the 1950s-60s. This is the later 2nd generation 630 that featured a polished chrome housing and classic mid century design. The 630 had a virtually indestructible dynamic Hi Z element, so it probably works great, however I haven't actually tested it myself, so it is sold As Is.

The 630 was a versatile and popular product, remaining in the Electro-Voice catalogue for more than 25 years. Even now it has popularity among ham radio buffs, as well as blues harmonica players looking for that elusive, fat, ‘Chicago’ sound!

The 630's design is reminiscent of the jet engines being used by many American and Soviet fighter planes of that era. The last few pics show a copy of the Electro-Voice catalogue page for this mic, and some celebrities actually using it, including Jerry Lee Lewis using at a live concert and Marilyn Monroe performing as a USO tour in Korea. The last picture shows Albert R. Kahn, life-long radio ham and founder of Electro-Voice with his trusty EV 630..

This 50+ year old microphone has a few light surface scratches but otherwise is in Excellent Pre-Owned Condition. The E.V label looks great and is completely legible. The joint mechanism and on/off switch work fine. Adapters for the 3-prog plug are available online.

This 630 Hi Z (high impedance) mic is perfect as a harp mic and for any other performance or broadcasting purpose. It has a very rock'n'roll or bluesy tone that many musicians like. Guaranteed to be as described and shown.
