The Breitling Navitimer is one of the world’s most iconic watches, originally introduced in 1952 as a pilot’s watch. The slide rule enables the wearer to make calculations, such as fuel consumption, with an easy turn of the bezel.

In 1968, Breitling released this reference 816, a large 48mm watch with a case produced by EPSA Piquerez, famed for making water-resistant cases at that time.

The black dial is fondly named “Big Eyes” due to its silver subdials, and is brought to life with its striking orange-red chronograph hands. A Twin Jet logo at 12 o’clock sits above the words “BREITLING GENEVE” and “NAVITIMER”

Powering the watch is the manual-wind Venus 178, a movement also used in the popular Navitimer 806.

This watch is supplied in a condition consistent with its age, having been worn and enjoyed for many years. The movement has been tested and is running well.

For your peace of mind, this watch is covered by eBay's Authenticity Guarantee for UK buyers.
