Vintage 1960 era Bucherer 25j Chronometer ETA 2638 movement with Day/Date complication.

Dial and case are in very good condition for vintage. Bracelet is new.

This 25 jewel mechanical movement with manual and automatic winding plus day/date complication is housed in a stainless steel case.

All functions working properly and watch is keeping excellent time.

Movement has been fully serviced (see below for a detailed description of my service).

Overall condition of the watch:

• Dial: Very good for vintage. Some age related wear around edge by the 4 o’clock baton and a micro-scratch under the chronometer label visible under magnification.

• Watchband: New

Size: The diameter of the watch is 38x33 with a lug size of 20mm.

While the watch is stamped "waterproof" on the case-back, in new condition this watch was probably water resistant at best. However, this vintage watch SHOULD NOT be considered waterproof or water resistant.

• Totally disassembling and cleaning the movement (cleaning is done in an ultrasonic cleaner using professional grade watch cleaning solution).
• Repairing or replacing any movement parts as required.
• Reassembling and lubricating the movement (applying Moebius 9010, Microgliss D-5, Mobius 8217 and Moebius 9504 Synthetic Grease based on current best practices).
• Demagnetizing the movement.
• Regulation of the movement using an electronic timegrapher.
• Treating the caseback gasket with silicone grease as needed.
• Reassembling the watch.
• Running the watch over multiple days to ensure it is working properly.
