This is a hard plastic helmet with detachable night-vision goggles piece (as seen in photos). The helmet has adjustable straps with several cushion pads inside which make it quite comfortable to wear. The helmet also includes many areas to add velcro patches onto. The night vision goggles do not work nor can you see through them, they are purely cosmetic. There are no scratches or dents as I have only used this once for a costume dress-up.
