Julia Doll African American TNT Mattel Japan 1969 Diahann Carroll’s Nurse TLC


This Julia doll (Mattel #1127) is based on the character Diahann Carroll played on TV in the 1960s. She is a Twist 'N Turn model and has “© 1966 Mattel, Inc. U.S. Patented U.S. Pat. Pend. Made In Japan” on her rear. Her original brown hair has oxidized to dark red and there is some debris (sand?) at her hairline. The small flecks around her eyes look like something that would clean up easily and appear more obvious due to the lights in my photo booth. There is also a gauge out of the left side of her forehead, right at the hairline. There is a small scuff on her left cheek. Her features look good, including her rooted eyelashes, but will need a bit more cleaning. She has bendable legs that go to three normal positions, but she’s a bit double jointed, so they also bend outward once. All other joints move well. Her torso is in good condition, but her arms and legs have dark marks, especially the legs. Toes and fingers are good. There is a small split at the back of her left knee and some of the knee joint hardware is trying to poke through on the backs of her thighs.

Shipping Method: I ship by USPS, UPS, or FedEx, depending on the weight and destination. I am pleased to ship to APO/FPO addresses. If you are concerned about the shipping cost, please contact me before agreeing to purchase.

“Ship To” Address: Please make sure your payment source has your correct “ship to” address. If you request that I ship to a different address after you have paid, I will cancel the transaction and request that you correct the address before repurchasing. Similarly, I am happy to ship to a third party, as long as their address is the one provided at the time of payment.

Delayed Shipment Requests: Please do not request that I delay shipment by more than one business day.

I ship my items in corrugated cardboard boxes, with packing peanuts and bubble wrap. Based on how I pack, double boxing is not necessary and has not been factored into the estimated shipping weight. If you would like me to double-box something, please contact me ahead of time.

Payment must be received within 4 days.

Returns: If you are not pleased with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days and it must arrive in “as sold” condition with all originally included items. Please retain all packing material and/or replace damaged bubble wrap with new if necessary, to ensure an undamaged returned item. Please contact me first before starting the return process so I can have the chance to resolve the issue.
