In this listing we are offering an interesting & scarce Hubley Toy Company "STAR" cast iron toy cap pistol. This toy was made circa 1920 or so by the Hubley Toy Co. in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. An example of this cap pistol is listed as # S32 & illustrated on page 134 in the 1973 edition of the Charles Best "Cast Iron Toy Pistols" book.

The example we are offering has a dark, rich, & appealing patina from age. The hammer where the caps were popped has light surface rust. The flat spring has plenty of tension. However, the spring will not catch when the hammer is pulled back.

The length is listed in the Charles Best book as 3 3/4 inches long & this matches with our measurement which is also 3 3/4 inches long. The weight is 2.2 ounces.

Please examine the photos closely and purchase based on your own judgement as to condition and value.
