The image is a silhouette of a mother and child. The text on the image says "Dearest Mother, Mother you are my dearest one, Though we're apart, This day you are the nearest one, To my heart. M.G.". This suggests that the image is a Mother's Day card or a similar token of appreciation for a mother.

Measures approximately: 8" inch high by 6" inch across.

Condition:  the glass is intact no cracks or chips. 

Frame: is metal and the gold trim has worn off.

Paper print: I noted that there is staining along the upper edges.
