Actual Measurements

This was a hard dress to measure. The front is tightly fitted and the back has an abundance of fabric. I show this on my B32 size mannequin and it fit her just a little snugly.
Bust 32 inches.
Waist 24-26 inches. The back has an interesting bra like closure that starts from the sides of the dress. It also has a little bit of elastic that adds 2 inches of stretch and give. The 24 inches is with the bra hook at its longest or first hole. You can adjust the bra like hook to a hole further in for a even smaller measurement. The 26 inch measurement is with the elastic stretched to its fullest.

The purpose of the bra closure is to pull the front waist in tight to the body and still let the abundance of back fabric fall loose.

Hips are full
Total length 52 inches

To make sure something will fit, take measurements from a piece of clothing that fits you well and use those measurements to compare. If you use your personal actual measurements, you should always figure needing two inches extra for breathing room.

Label- Mildred's of Hawaii.

No closures besides the back bra hook.

The front bow is tied from strings that are attached to the dress at the center and sides. I show the dress with the strings tied and hanging loose.

Fabric is a medium weight cotton.  This dress is unlined.

Condition
No stains, holes, or tears. it has been previously shortened and then let back down to its original length. There is a little bit of a seam remainder line that I show in a photo. I also show a inside photo of the arm hole. There is some hand hemming turnover business going on. I could not quite figure out if the dress has been messed with a little at the arms. But, I did not see it as a major issue.

What Diane Likes About This Dress
There is so much to like about this dress.First is the color combination. The olive green paired with the bright orange is very bold, yet also very pleasing. I like the way the pattern is cut. The sides of the front of the dress are simpler than the center front and the back. That makes this dress very well thought out, as the designer wanted that restful design. The shape of the dress is very interesting. You have the tight, body skimming front design that is contrasted with a flowing waterfall of fabric down the back. So many Hawaiian dresses rely only on the pattern for interest, and I am not against a great pattern. But, in the genre of Hawaiian dresses, this one not only serves up pattern, but plenty of style and design.
