This is a used Nazi Third Reich stamp, and it has a great, legible postmark with the date of 4.12.42.

This stamp was a hot item among German stamp  collectors, and it took a hard bargain at bartering to acquire this stamp from one of the vendors at the Frankfurt flea market. Any Third Reich stamp that features the Swastika emblem or other Nazi symbols will barter for a high price.

Although this stamp at one time in its life of 82 years had a stamp hinge affixed,  the backing is in good condition. This stamp has no rips, tears, creases, or folds. There is just the small remnant of a hinge.
