Epiphone E-444T Granada '65

Epiphone is now well-known as a sister brand to Gibson, but before its acquisition by Gibson in the late 1950s, it was a historic brand that was active as a rival to Gibson, especially in the field of archtops. After the acquisition of Gibson, production of solid body models began, and many attractive models were born that are loved by guitar fans around the world.

This is an Epiphone model produced at the Gibson factory. It has almost the same specifications as Gibson's ES-120T. It has unique specifications such as a 16-inch wide thinline body, a laminated maple top and back without a center block, a Melody Maker style single coil pickup, and a three-dimensional pickguard that is integrated with the control system.

【body】
Overall weight is approximately 2.5kg. The body material is maple. Compared to the Gibson model, it features a sunburst color with a cleaner burst near the cutaway. Although there are some minor scratches, some weather checks, sticker marks on the pickguard, and dullness of parts, it remains in very good condition. The model tag from that time is very valuable.

【neck】
The neck material is 1 piece mahogany. There are some dents around the head, but like the body, it remains in pretty good condition. The tuner works well, with no noticeable variations in the tightness of the winding. The frets/nut are only slightly worn, and playability is good. Nut width 42.0mm. It features a relatively solid neck shape.

[Electrical system]
The controls are simple [volume/tone]. The pickup is equipped with one Gibson single coil, which is also used in the ES-120T and Melody Maker. The raw resonance of the body is wonderful, and the glaring tone with rich overtones, which is similar to the Bizarre type, is attractive.
