Made by Haviland & Company with the makers mark that dates this antique oyster plate to have been made between 1876-1880.
It features six wells for oysters where the edges are a very faint blue moving into a light yellow. Each has a hand painted 'oyster scar'.
These lie on a light brown seaweed.
The center well is ringed in brown and has a fabulous bright aqua green color.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks.
It measures 9 inches wide.
This will make a wonderful addition to your collection.
