One notable feature of the PM-15S1 is the addition of power amplifier direct input terminals, which were not present in the PM-15S1. This allows for input from the pre-out of an AV amplifier to the corresponding terminals of this unit, enabling the power amplifier section to be shared between 2-channel audio and surround systems. Conversely, to enable this unit to be used as a preamplifier, pre-out terminals are also provided.
