Important information about the use of lead-acid batteries (batteries filled with acid), please note:
Before commissioning:
Liquid lead acid motorcycle batteries are delivered unfilled. They must therefore be filled with battery acid (accumulator acid) before being used. The battery acid is not included!
We deliver maintenance-free lead acid motorcycle batteries fully filled and sealed.
Initial charge:
Our batteries are pre-charged dry and ready for immediate use, but it is still recommended to charge them before use. This is something that many people (including professionals) don't do, but it is required by Allen manufacturers.
If a battery is not initially charged, it can result in the battery being approx. loses 20% of its capacity and thus an approx. 30% shorter lifespan!
Before use, the batteries should have 12.8 volts or more. If not, be sure to download it!
3-5 hours of charging time at 1/10 of the AH value of the battery is sufficient.
As an example: Battery YTZ12 has 11 AH / so 3-5 hours of charging with 1.1 amps
Care:
In lead-acid batteries, the fluid level must be checked. If the fluid level in motorcycle batteries that are not maintenance-free has decreased after some time, it must be refilled with distilled water. Since acid evaporates much more slowly than water, it must not be refilled with acid, which would result in too high an acid content.
Maintenance-free lead acid motorcycle batteries, on the other hand, do not need to be refilled because they are tightly closed and nothing can evaporate.
Reload:
The motorcycle batteries should last approx. be charged every 3 months. Suitable chargers with battery monitoring can also remain permanently connected to the battery for several months.

You can return old batteries that we have or have had in our range as new batteries free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address).
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crossed out garbage can means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead by mass
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass
Special features when selling starter batteries
The deposit is not included in the purchase price! Since eBay does not provide for any additional costs for the items offered, the deposit must be purchased as a deposit tag when purchasing each starter battery and can be obtained under the eBay item number: 362724278716 be purchased.
If you return a used vehicle battery to us that we have or have had in our range as a new battery in accordance with Section 9 BattG, we are obliged, within the framework of the legal regulations, to take it back free of charge and to refund the deposit amount. Insofar as we comply with Section 10 Para. 1 Sentence 3 BattG have issued a deposit stamp, the reimbursement of the deposit when the used vehicle battery is returned depends on the return of the deposit stamp.
Drop off location is listed in the Contacts address. Returning the used battery by post is not permitted due to the Dangerous Goods Ordinance. Alternatively, used vehicle batteries can also be handed in free of charge to recycling centers. The deposit we charge will not be refunded by the public waste and recycling centers. However, you have the option of having the return of the used vehicle battery acknowledged on the deposit stamp invoice. You will receive the battery deposit back from us upon presentation of the receipted invoice with a deposit stamp.
