Offering this stunning vintage Beethoven playing piano ornate electric table lamp with a beautiful of excellent quality and beautiful amber& RED stained glass lamp shade by Lawson. This is a rare figural lamps by JB Hirsch. The lamp is dated frsigned by John Ruhl and J B Hirsch It is made from a hand painted spelter and in great working condition, appears to be original paint. With only minimal wear. This lamp does not come with a lamp shade, extremely rare find I was lucky enough to find at an estate sale in upstate New York. It was wrapped in old newspaper and I simply wiped it down . Difficult to find with the single bulb and in such wonderful condition. The Lamp is cast metal with beautiful enamel and gold paint.The lamp has a single shaped socket connected to the base. Also has the original brass topper. Beethoven's head, hands are Ivorine. Depicts Beethoven sitting in front of his piano with hands on the keys and eyes focused on the music notes propped above the piano.Lamp Works Great.Measures 19" inches tall with the shade on.10-1/2" x 10-1/2" inches back to front.According to the Encyclopedia of Bronzes, Sculptors, and Foundries, Vol. 4, Page 1177, plate 4726 he was part of J. B. Hirsch's Collection Francaise. Hirsch made two models of the Beethoven lamp, this one and another that features two lamps on either side of the piano.
