V.V. Uzdenikov. became a truly significant event in the numismatic world. This
book, which took fifteen years to complete and another year to complete each
subsequent edition, is perfectly structured, making it easy to find any coin,
its illustration and all the accompanying information. A classification of the
entire corpus of Russian coins of the 18th - early 19th centuries was made.
After a brief overview of the development of the Russian monetary system, a
list of all national coins minted in gold, platinum, silver, copper, bronze and
nickel alloy is given, followed by special issue coins, as well as coins
related to the history of Russia. Illustrations are optimally presented
for each section.
