Self made reproduction Imperial Russian Army model 1915 entrenching tool cover, made from natural linen with a black wooden button.  Based on photographs of surviving originals, these covers are known to have been used by the early Red Army including the conflict with Japan in 1939 at Khakhin Gol.  Cover is approximately 20 cm wide and 22.5 cm deep.  Cover will hold either flat topped or pointed entrenching tools.
