This is a vintage Pashley Royal Mail Mailstar postman’s bike with front basket and rear panier frames. It is in full working order having been restored by a qualified bike mechanic.

The bike has Sturmey Archer hubs with shoe brakes and the rear 3-speed hub has been dismantled, cleaned and re-built with genuine replacement parts as required. The brake and gear cables have also been replaced along with the gear shifter and the chain. Loose spokes in the rear wheel have had new spoke nipples fitted and the wheel has been re-aligned.

The saddle which had split and could not be repaired has been replaced with a similar wide fit gel model and a new kick stand has been fitted.

The bike has wear commensurate with its age and previous use. There are inevitable marks and scrapes to the frame paintwork and some rusting to the front basket frame. The mudguards also show signs of age with some scratches and minor indentations.
