Wonderful antique Satsuma saucer - Meiji period, depicting people in various settings.

This is a lovely antique piece featuring finely hand painted details and fine gilding. The saucer is thickly potted, and decorated with highly detailed hand painted images.

Measuring The saucer is approximately 5 3/8” wide.

The saucer has a mark, unfortunately it appears as the mark was almost removed at some point and now is unreadable.

Condition - sold As Is due to a chip on the rim. Some wear to gold and decorations but not extensive. Use related marks and scratches and wear on the underside. Minor scabs on the foot. Typical fine crazing throughout. Some discoloration related to crazing mostly visible on the underside: Minor rough areas along the rim.

It’s is a wonderful and fine example of Japanese ceramics of the late 19th and early 20th era.
