1883 1st Year Liberty Nickel No Cents Nice Coin 5,474,300 Minted, This was the first Liberty Nickel Minted Without Cents. The Problem was that that certain crafty individuals would coat them in gold and attempt to pass them as Gold Coins , Called Racketeer Nickels.
