The back exterior patch exclaims Diesel's theme and quality standards at that time; with not only the designer's homegrown, idiomatic verbalized and script-written phrase, but they also include contact phone, fax numbers and addresses (Who else did/does this?!?!? Wow!!!)--So the patch (pictured above) says, and I quote: 

"D.IE.S.EL. /-HQ FOR.SU.CC-ESS.FUL LI.VIN.G ONLY THE BRAVE 55RR SINCE 19/78 INDUSTRY Y. O. 2 0424-7545"

On one of the interior tags where it gives care instructions: 'Do not wash or iron'...A "Special leather cleaning way" is required; it then offers up the following: "Diesel S.P.A Via dell'Industria, 4-6 36042 BREGANZE-VINCENZA-ITALY. Phone: 390424-477555 Fax: 390424-411955 www.diesel.com C.I.F No. 462226170, S.C. IN000035. 00ECALA6009.

They stand by it all; left nothing out.

It's Deep black. Sturdy, but smooth and supple sheepskin leather. I find the theme and design version, as I've given above, particularly fascinating as it shows the mind and values of those designers compared to the current lot. The few things I didn't mention in the Item Specifics above were that the interior lining is of a light-green base with horizontal lines and bars of dark, light-green and turquoise.

Second, The closure is a zipper, but the two exterior front-side pockets are metal, snap-button closure--another unique feature--and the accenting buttons are accented with embossed perforation simultaneously with the "Diesel Co." script and one single pocket stud embossed with the Diesel Co. Indian-head logo (that's FUEGO!).

Finally, only the waistband is ribbed-knit, not the wrists (no wristbands) or the collar; very unusual feature, again.

One of the Dichotomy of styles and thematic statements you're making, perhaps 'unawarily' is this is all rugged but sophisticated, casual yet expensive, seeking no attention but effortlessly getting much of it; so prepare for that.

All reasons why this piece is a rear exclusive, worth your time, attention and money; and you're worth it, as well.
