Very Early Celtic Pottery Mousehole, Newlyn Cornwall Cockerel / Phoenix Tray. Size: approx 268mm long (10.5"), 193mm wide (approx 7.5") by 23mm deep (approx 1"). Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. This is an absolutely stunning piece and a must for any Celtic Pottery collector. Classic fighting cockerel design with an inscribed white border, often referred to as "The Phoenix" design. Gloss glaze to the interior but the back is left unglazed apart from a short band approx half way down. The back is covered with hand painted black spirals. No makers marks or gold label but unmistakeably Celtic Pottery and pretty sure by Bill Fishers own hand. This piece has been part of my collection for a couple of decades now and I am finally selling my pieces so check-out the others I have listed.

Item will be very well packed, double boxed and despatched quickly via Royal Mail parcel service. Check out my feedback and other items for sale, good luck! (I combine shipping if you are in the UK but best ask first just in case items would not pack well together.)

International bidders please note: This item will be shipped by Ebay Global shipping programme, I have no control over how much they charge you and currently I cannot combine items for shipping due to Customs etc. However I have never had any issues with sending items via them in the past and generally they arrive fairly quickly.
