Barr is one of Detroit's most celebrated and successful underground artists who broke into national awareness in 2001.  Barr's work has been featured in a variety of comics and graphic novels such as Mad and DC Comics.

His contributions to animation include stylings from the Ren and Stimpy Show as well as B Jork's "I Miss You" video.  Barr also has a beautifully illustrated new hardcover entitled "Haunted Paradise."

Detroit Born, Barr finds inspiration in the characters of ancient mythology, the carnivalesque, and the every-disintegrating urban landscape that appears in the neighborhood around his downtown Detroit studio.  These original creations subtly tell the tale of Barr's paradise.
