This is a scarce early pontiled Sutcliffe McAllister & Co paneled medicine bottle from Kentucky......... SUTCLIFFE McALLISTER & CO (bold emb on front panel)..... DRUGGIST'S / LOUISVILLE bold emb on side panels....Open Pontil....applied tapered lip.....aqua....rect...5 1/2"tall....Excellent condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean bottle with only a bit of faint haze.....A small crude natural surface "straw mark" at base on back from when it was made...If you are a collector then you know what I'm talking about. If you are not familiar with early blown glass, then I'm mentioning it so that you will know that it is not a hairline or damage of any kind....just a crude natural surface line. This is a hard to find early pontiled Louisville medicine bottle from the 1840s or early 1850 era....
