Zebra TLP 2884 Direct Thermal Label / Ribbon Printer.

Ideal to print shipping labels!

This was kept as a backup but was never used - test print was done today seen in image 2

To install printer first of all download and install ZDesigner driver from Zebra website. Connect printer to PC and turn it on. Printer will be installed automatically.

Thermal label printer need to be configured before use. Go to Control Panel- Devices and Printers-Right click on TLP2844- Printing Preferences- set Label Size, -Dithering -set to None - Apply-OK. Then go to Tools-Action- Calibrate. 

Printer will calibrate and will be ready for printing.

Print darkness can be adjusted in printing preferences - Options by changing Print Speed and Darkness.

Can be used with ribbon as Thermal Transfer printer or without ribbon as Direct Thermal printer. 

If you are not using a ribbon it needs to be configured in Printing Preferences- set Media Settings as Direct Thermal and click Apply. If printer still blinks red after that you need to Reset printer- turn printer Off, turn it On again, go to Printing Preferences-Tools- Action and click Load Factory Defaults and click Send. 

This will solve all issues.

Ribbon provides higher quality long lasting print but for delivery labels it is enough to use Direct Thermal printing without ribbon.

Drivers should install automatically when connected by USB to Windows Vista and newer systems, but can also be downloaded from the link above.

Genuine Zebra supplied power supply included, UK power cord, USB cable. Everything you need is in the box!
