Postage costs
-------------------
Most
of my lots finish in the evening and I endeavour to send invoices out
the same day. For those people that pay when an auction finishes I
process and pack the order same day (often refunding postage costs if
more than one item). By process I men to pack and add postage, I then
leave feedback and indicate that lot(s) have been posted, but infact I
will not get to the Post Office till the next day!
I use Royal Mail to send all my items, see their website for their price guide.
All my mail sent is now done by weight! 25p is added to invoivce to cover packing (envelope / see through bag / labels etc)
Initial
prices are for items upto 100g in weight, for combined lots please wait
as will weigh combined lots and determine the best price going forward
within the invoice!
Lots costing less than £20 will be sent standard class
Between £20 and £50 lots will be sent Tracked, additional cost will be added to invoice.
Greater
than £50 lots will be sent Special Delivery (UK) and Tracked and Signed
elsewhere, additional cost will be added to invoice.
I always obtain a certificate of posting if sent as Standard Class.
I aim to make no money from postage costs, just enough to cover the postage & packing.
If
I do end up invoicing too much and it costs less to post I will refund
the difference (less packaging costs of 25p) after I have posted the
items.
I hope this all makes sense!
