DC Comics
Legends of the Dark Knight
Matt Wagner

For sale is "Legends of the Dark Knight: Matt Wagner." This hardcover graphic novel collects all of superstar writer/artist Matt Wagner's work on Batman throughout the years. Among the single-shot stories are four notable longer, graphic novel-length tales. First, the one-shot "The Riddler Factory," featuring the Prince of Puzzlers, the Riddler. Then, the three-part "Faces" arc from "Legends of the Dark Knight," featuring Harvey Dent/Two-Face.

Finally, both "Batman and the Monster Men" and "Batman and the Mad Monk" are collected here in their entirety - Wagner's two "Dark Moon Rising" tales, re-imagining Batman's earliest golden-age adventures in a modern style, and featuring Batman's first battle with Dr. Hugo Strange as well as his first encounter with a possibly supernatural villain, the mysterious vampire known only as the Mad Monk. Both stories are incredibly important to the canonical history of Batman - both stories are long-since out of print and very difficult to find - and both stories can only be found in hardcover in this collection, fully complete for the first time ever (previous collections of both stories lacked the original covers).

The pages are a nice, thick glossy stock, with beautiful, bold colors and art reproduction. This is truly a deluxe collection, and is going out of print and increasingly difficult to find.

This book is brand new and still in the original plastic, leaving it in pretty much mint condition.  The plastic has been opened a bit in the bottom, where it was torn during shipment, but it's clear based on the size of the tear that the book has never been removed from the sealed packaging and remains unread and untouched.  Please see the pictures for details.  It was stored in a smoke-free, pet-free environment.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

Thank you!

ABOUT ME

I am a longtime Ebayer - both buying and selling for over 20 years, with a spotless record. This is because smooth, pleasant transactions and customer service are important to me. I've recently created this new account to separate my non-comics purchases from my comic book buying/selling. While its 100% positive feedback rating over the past several years speaks for itself, I am happy to provide you my personal Ebay account which also has 100% positive feedback over two decades.

As a longtime Batman fan, I also know how important comic book condition is to collectors and readers, so you can feel comfortable knowing your purchases will be well taken care of!

SHIPPING and OTHER TERMS

Per Ebay rules, payment is expected within 4 days of the auction end, and I will ship within 3 business days of receiving payment - if payment is received by early evening, usually most items will ship the next business day (including Saturdays). Free shipping will be done via Media Mail in the lower 48 states. Customers from other states (or countries) can inquire for a shipping quote, but it will be more expensive.

If a delivery cannot be made by the post office and the item is automatically returned by mail, I am willing to attempt a second shipment - however, the buyer will have to pay for the actual shipping cost of this second attempt (even if the first delivery was made via a "Free Shipping" option or a combined shipping discount was applied for the initial shipment).

If an item is damaged in transit or does not otherwise match the original item description, I will provide a full refund - customer satisfaction is important to me. However, all items should be returned in the condition in which they were received. For example, if an item is sent sealed in the original shrink-wrap, it should be returned still sealed in the original shrink-wrap (guaranteeing the item was damaged in shipment and not after receipt).

Items returned for reasons other than damage not mentioned in the listing (i.e., mistaken ordering, etc.) must also be sent in the condition in which they were received, and buyers will be assessed a $10 restocking fee per book.

I am only interested in transactions with pleasant buyers who are purchasing and operating on Ebay in good faith. To that end, I will cancel any order from any problematic buyers or buyers with red flags. Red flags include:
  • Large amounts of negative feedback from prior transactions
  • High-value purchases from a brand new account without a transaction history
  • Leaving negative feedback for invalid reasons (such as blaming sellers for USPS shipping delays that are out of their hands)
  • Higher-than-average amount of negative feedback left for others
More than 99% of my interactions on Ebay, as both a buyer and a seller, have been positive. If you seem to consistently have problems with other sellers, then the problem probably has less to do with other sellers and more to do with yourself - and out of respect for both your time and mine, I would rather not engage in a transaction that may leave either one of us feeling unhappy.
