This botanical lithograph features two plants painted by artist Jane Wells Webb Loudon, the "Crinum arenarium" (Field Lily) and "Coberghia incarnata" (Milkweed).
Loudon wrote many gardening books illustrated with her own botanical artwork. Her publications enabled women to see gardening as worthy, offering helpful hints and gorgeous artwork.
