This is my late Father's Rolex which he owned for many, many years but hardly ever wore! I believe the watch dates back to about the mid to late forties or early fifties. Please do your own research as to the true age as I cannot be absolutely sure.

The Arabic numerals are a gold colour and the unmarked dial is off-white.

My father had a new glass fitted at some stage and it still looks new. He also had it serviced in 2015 after which, it was shoved in a drawer and forgotten about  - my Dad was a little bit crazy!

The case, without the crown (winder) measures 30mm.

The crown is apparently correctly signed "Oyster patent".

The strap is black leather but not a Rolex one.

When I discovered it recently, I wound it and to my surprise, it started ticking immediately. I have worn it for the past few weeks and can honestly say that it works perfectly and keeps extremely good time but please don't expect quartz accuracy - it is, remember, about 75 years old or thereabouts.

It has 15 ruby jewels and is in really excellent condition.

If you're interested, please study the photos to make sure it's OK for you as the photos equal the description.

One thing I will say is that the hands are not quite as blue as they appear in the photos, they are a darker blue than shown but I guess that's the problem with computer monitors, they sometimes cannot interpret colours totally accurately.

I wish you good luck with your bidding but please have the decency to only bid if you're a serious purchaser. And if you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
