This atomic age ceramic ashtray is VERY RARE. Only one other sold on eBay, and that was over a year ago!

I do not know the specific age, but it has all the hallmarks of late 1940’s, early 1950’s for its production and decoration. It is a great MCM piece.

The white dots in the high gloss black glazed ceramic, are impressed into the ceramic. The white dots are connected by white lines that give it a constellation or stellar effect. The tab handle has gold lettering “Olympia Beer “It’s In The Water” printed on it. The gold lettering has a small amount of gilding worn off. (Please see photos)

The backside has a green underglaze stamp. It is not a good impression, but it does say Olympia Brewing Company Olympia, Washington.

It measures approximately 6 1/8” wide by 6 1/4” long.
