Mattel Talking Brad Barbie 1969 Vintage Rare, Mute, Needs repair

This vintage Brad doll is a rare find for collectors. The doll features Brad, who is Ken’s friend and Christie’s boyfriend. The string that is pulled on his back to initiate a talk sequence is missing and therefore I do not know if his “talking mechanism” can work if string is replaced. One of his leg joints seems to have been damaged, the plastic that allows for the leg to hold in place is missing a chunk so the leg only screws in halfway and falls out of the socket easily. The leg can be inserted into the socket and will hold if he is just for display with a stand. Please see photos. May be good for parts. The rest of his body is in very good condition. Knees are bendable up to three notches/clicks. Minimal and expected scratches and discoloration due to age. Please remember to review photos. Thank you!
