For example they could be used in the following environments:

• Offers protection in dusty environments such as drilling and cutting
• Food industry to prevent dirt & grease entering and clogging switch
• Boats where exposed to moisture
• Plant and machinery where panels may exposed to the elements
• Switches on caravans and motorhomes.

The cap is transparent allowing the symbols or indicators to be clearly seen as demonstrated below, the cover is completely waterproof however the use of this cover does not automatically make the switch waterproof as it only covers the top part of the rocker.
