This is one of the main pieces of neon plant equipment used in conjunction with a mechanical vacuum pump and manifold in the processing and fabrication of neon sign lighting and art, but may also be used on small vacuum lines in laboratory research, etc.

 

The SVP Diffusion Pump is a high performance, high vacuum secondary vacuum pump specifically designed for neon tube production. A diffusion pump will produce higher pumping speeds and better ultimate vacuums than the mechanical pump alone can obtain. A diffusion pump has no moving parts, so they are not prone to mechanical failure. SVP Diffusion Pumps are well suited for use with any luminous tube manifold system, regardless of manufacturer. Manifold adapters are available to allow easy connection to any manifold system.
