Fine Art Original Drawing by Sheila Solomon for sale for the first time by Spring Gallery/Modern Art Foundry. This nude study is done with drawing pencil on paper. Dimensions of the frame are 17" by 14", with inside of the mat measuring 12 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches. It is signed in pencil at the bottom and dated "92". It is in very good condition. It is presented in the photographs in a simple frame, but offered here frame less. It will be mailed flat with a Letter of Provenance, with acid free paper packaging, and 1/2" foam core. This was originally a gift to Bob Spring, the second generation owner and manager of the foundry for many years.
Sheila Solomon, taught at State University of New York,Stonybrook. She was married to the pioneer and leading researcher in astrophysics, Philip Solomon.
Mr. Spring recalls that she did a lot of her sculpture in wood. She was also very encouraging to him in his own art, which he very much appreciated.
