When buying a waterbed heater you should measure the depth of the cavity in your bed. Most Softside waterbeds are 3-8 inches deep which this heater is designed for. If your bed has a cavity less than 3 inches deep then you should not use this heater. If your bed is over is a king size and 7" or deeper you should consider two heaters . King & Queen softside beds with dual bladder or tubes should use two heaters.
