WARNING. IF MAKING CASTS, NEVER PUT A HAND OR FOOT INTO CASTING PLASTER. YOUR HAND OR FOOT WILL GET STUCK IN THE PLASTER AND MAY BURN.  USE ALGINATE for making handcast moulds. Then you can pour the stonecast plaster into the mould.  Our 3D casting kits which come with full instructions.

As a guide - 1kg of plaster powder makes about 1 pint of liquid plaster when mixed with water.

All our plasters are engineered for use by the general public, whether its a one-off craft project or a professional modeller or sculptor.  It is new and fresh - just bought direct from the supplier so it will have a good shelf life if stored in a dry place and kept well sealed. 

Plaster should always be used under strict adult supervision - please read all details on the pack before use.  If you suffer from sensitive skin conditions like eczema, please use protective gloves when working with plaster as any casting powder may irritate these skin conditions.

For hand or life casts we recommend you purchase one of our kits on a separate advert as you require alginate to do this and must read the specialist information about how to carry this out safely - which is provided in those kits.  NEVER put a body part into plaster. Always read the instructions that come with our products!

This material is ideal for making small to large models either in batches or as one off fine art sculptures which can be finely carved when dry.  The finished work can then be painted and varnished.  Ideal for use with our moulding alginate or modroc bandage  - see our ebay shop.  We always combine postage to give you savings - just remember to ask for a new invoice and wait for us to update it....

It can be poured into moulds and does not crack like clay.  It dries hard.

Setting time varies according to temperature and amount of water but the manufacturer says it will set in approximately 20 minutes in the right conditions
