A RARE & BEAUTIFUL old 7 1/4" wide antique china advertising plate from SALMON, IDAHO.  This is a very early 'Sterling China' antique plate, dating back about 100 years old or so.  

• Plate reads:  "SOUVENIR / OF / SALMON, IDAHO."

• Backside of plate is marked, "STERLING / CHINA".

• Condition:  Plate is in nice clean condition.  Plate has light surface wear, otherwise it is excellent with NO cracks, hairlines, chips, dings, damage, etc.. (See picture for overall condition).

• Age:  An antique plate ca. early 1910.

It is hard to find antique souvenir china from most anywhere in old Idaho, especially SALMON IDAHO, a small Idaho town on the banks of the Salmon River.  Note that the backside of this plate has a 'Sterling China' mark, a mark that antique dealers look for to authenticate souvenir china.  Old souvenir china pieces like this are always fun to collect as 1) they have the town and state that they are from on them, 2) have colorful scenes, pictures, designs, logos on them, 3) are easy to authenticate when they have the mark stamped on back.  What is exceptionally nice about this one is that it has a popular image of a Victorian woman on it, which just gives it that 'old' look. All of these things together make for a great relic from olden-day SALMON IDAHO, 100 years ago, check it out!
