For the Baseball Hobbyist . . . 1941-1945 "THE WAR YEARS" #90 - JAMES HAROLD WALLACE ~ Boston Braves ~ from 45-card series issued 1980 picturing those who Kept Baseball Going during World War II ~ Near-Mint condition This interesting and historically significant commemorative card was issued by The Card Memorabilia Associates, Limited (TCMA) to commemorate one of many of the players who kept major league baseball going during the Second World War. TCMA actually issued The War Years in two separate 45-card series: the first in 1977 included cards #1-45 and a second group of 45 in 1980 (numbered 46 to 90). This card measures generally the standard 2-1/2" by 3-1/2" with a black and white photo and no player identification on the front - resembling the 1953 Bowman black and white series. The back has simple military graphics and basic statistical information for those seasons America was at war.
