These natural Brazilian geodes have been split and the cut edges polished to showcase the intricate agate that surrounds the interior of sparkling crystals.  Crystals occur in a variety of colors and minerals. Clear rock quartz, smoky, rose, amethyst, citrine, ametrine, hematite, tourmaline and a wide variety of other minerals. Called Occo, Oco or Ocho these agate nodules have traditionally been gathered by farmers, appearing on the surface of their freshly tilled fields after the harvest and providing a valuable second 'crop'.   Keep both for yourself or follow the tradition of giving half to someone that you're close to.

****Dimensions listed on photos:  Length = total length of two halves combined (ie. length of uncut stone).  Width = the longest dimension of the cut surface.  As a general rule Occos are cut down the center but some assymetrical stones may vary.****
