Presenting an exceptionally appealing example of Australian studio pottery
created and signed Gunda by the Latvian-born artist, Gundars Zigurts Lusis.

This magnificent piece has a wonderfully sleek, clean-lined
modernist form and an exquisite glaze combination.

The tapered triangular shaped body is beautifully finished in a mottled brown
and cream glaze. A fabulously thick and chunky fat lava glaze forms a pattern
to the lower third of the vessel, adding an appealing tactile element to the
design. A sleekly angled handle perfectly balances the modernist form.

The interior of the vessel has been finished in a deep rich
glossy dark brown glaze, adding a further dimension to the form.

A wonderfully stylish and perfectly balanced design
with great mid century modern design eames era appeal!

This superb piece is presented in excellent vintage condition
with no chips, cracks or repairs. This exquisite example has
been extremely well cared for and presents spectacularly.

This impressive Gunda piece stands approx 255mms tall,
measures 85mms in diameter at the base excluding the handle
and measures 110mms in width including the handle.

This piece is beautifully signed and numbered to the base
with the artists inscribed signature "Gunda 28".
