THIS ITEM IS A GENUINE ORIGINAL VINTAGE PRINT

FROM THE SOURCE/DATE LISTED

Name - Bee Eater. Blie Rake, King Fisher, Bearded Cuckoo, Surukus

Date - 1878 is an assumed date as we received the prints & text with no covers or title pages. Based on a advertising broadside that was included in the lot, and the original print size of 12x15", we have to conclude that this is the 1878 First Bound Edition

Source - Birds of North America, Volume 2 - Note that Volume 2 seems to study birds from around the world, not just North America
By - Jacob Studer
Comment - Studer bird prints are known as the “poor man’s Audubon bird prints”, that is, about as good as Audubon’s prints, but less expensive
