A miniature Fountain Pen and Mechanical Pencil Set.
We are pleased to present this vintage Miniature Pen and Pencil Set for your consideration. Both pieces measure about 3 inches in length and are unmarked as to manufacturer. The case material looks like black bakelite, with patches of pastel green, orange, and yellow shades. You will receive the following:
Fountain Pen. It measures 3-1/16 inches in length, with the cap fully screwed on. The nib is marked WARRANTED 14K 4. The pump handle on the side will pull out a short distance, but we are unable to test it any further. The gold surface on the handle shows black spots where the gold has flaked away. The gold trim on the cap is in much better shape, still shiny with an intact surface. There is light surface wear to the entire plastic surface, but no teeth marks or other damage.
Mechanical Pencil. It measures 3 inches in length. The gold surface at the tip is shiny, with perhaps a few small areas of brassing. The gold surface at the top end shows more wear, while the trim ring is shiny with no black spots. The eraser retains some flexibility, and can be removed without difficulty. Light surface wear is noted on the entire plastic surface, with a few deeper scratches.
Together, the two pieces weigh 16.9 grams.
