The Auction:

This is a complete SPECIALIZED set of 28 stamps FVF and MNH. It contains all non-error listed TRANSPORTATION coils from 2123 to 2136. This is the SECOND series, which was issued between 1985 and 1989. The set offered here has all of the Scott major numbers and non-error minor number listings.

The set begins with low value non-profit stamps in precancel and the philatelic prints. The philatelic versions without precancel markings served no legitimate Postal rates, but were commonly used within the stamp community. It contains all three version of the 7.1c Tractor 1920s and all three 10.1 Oil Wagon 1890s stamps. Transportation coils were constantly evolving. This group shows the beginning transition from the old Cottrell press to the newer B Press. It is exemplified by Bureau precancel black bars changing to service inscriptions in red ink.

B Press reprints arrived with a variety of differences in the appearance of Transportation stamps. Generally the design sizes are slightly smaller. Cottrell press stamps have the familiar joint lines but the new reprints bear only a plate number. Joint lines on coil stamps were soon extinct. The distance between plate revolutions doubled. There are no PNCs in this auction item. The highlight of the set are the 3 different 12c Stanley Steamer 1909 varieties.

In some cases we use Brookman minor numbers like "v", which are not technically Scott numbers but help to identify. The varieties can be complicated to assemble but we guarantee accurate identification.

Many of these beautiful coils have very fine centering. There is a 30% premium for VF but we offer better quality at our regular low price! If you purchase 2 sets we will send pairs.

• Stock photo. The actual stamps may be different from this display, however we guarantee that they will be comparable or better condition or fully refunded. The logos in the images are added digitally and are not printed on the actual stamps. The black background display mount is not included. For pane singles the straight edge position may vary. For blocks/strips the position order will always be exactly as pictured.

• Purchasing is self service. If you do not understand our terms please feel free to contact us for an invoice. We typically will not send a manual invoice because we have no way of knowing when you are done shopping until you ask.

• You will need to please pay combined. You will receive individual notifications from eBay with payment information after each item. You are free to combine and pay at any time that you are ready. Payments should be made within "reasonable time" following purchase. If this is not possible then please contact us ahead of time to make payment arrangements.

• Shipping is always free to USA. We actually lose money on shipping and have not raised our rates in over 15 years!

• We ship Internationally but not to every country in the world. Please verify postage rates before purchasing. Large International orders will be shipped via US Registered Mail at current rates. Please understand that Registered International mail might take as long as a month to deliver after we have posted it and patience is appreciated.

• We always ship at earliest convenience. This means that a mail-run may occur multiple times a day. We have no control over the speed of mail, but have found the USPS to be very reliable. We strive to be competitive in all aspects of the eBay market. If for any reason you are unhappy we hope that you will contact us for quick resolution.

Regarding Feedback:

• Feedback is left following the conclusion of each transaction. Feedback is not left immediately because the transaction is not over until you have your stamps and we know that all is well. The fastest way to receive feedback is to leave it for us and we should soon respond in turn.

• We always leave feedback for each positive transaction. There is never a need to ask us. We never send messages to customers asking for feedback but hope that they will choose to leave a positive.

• We would rather work things out but reserve the right to refuse service to anybody at any time. Stamp collectors as a whole are very honest people. A few bad apples attempt to manipulate the system for personal gain or other reasons. These parties are blocked. We politely ask blocked bidders not to contact us.
