With its unique brass gallery, this antique sideboard is sure to make an impression in any home. Beautifully aged mahogany wood combines with expert craftsmanship to make this piece something truly special. Originally made in England around the year 1900, this appears to be a transitional piece from the end of the Victorian era to the beginning of the Edwardian.

With flame mahogany on the door fronts and back splash and a beautiful crown cut mahogany top, this piece has a very attractive look. The top has a mahogany cross band to help set off the bowed shape of the buffet. A very beautiful brass gallery adorns the top. Without the back splash and gallery the piece is 37″ tall. Inside the left cabinet is a wooden shelf. The drawer opens and closes easily and is decorated with some very attractive brass handle that match the design of the back splash. The right cabinet hides a wine drawer that originally would have held wine bottles. Both the cabinet doors lock and a key is included. The left door lock can be a little tricky but does work. Finally the entire antique sideboard rests on six turned and fluted legs.

This antique sideboard is in very good condition. There is some minor surface wear to the legs and the top exhibits some light surface scratches and marks in the right light. On the left side at the front bottom corner there is missing moulding on the rounded corner, although you don’t really notice it unless you are on that side looking for it. Otherwise this is a sturdy and beautiful piece. The finish appears to be in good shape and the antique sideboard is clean and ready to be used immediately. Don’t miss your chance to own this lovely and unique piece today!
