You are bidding on the 100th cover of a set of 100 first day covers containing stamps issued in the Marshall Islands commemorating the 50th anniversaries of the 100 most significant events starting with the invasion of Poland and ending up with the end of World War II on VJ day, September 2, 1945.

This 100th cover depicts the 50th Anniversary of the end of the greatest conflict in history on September 2, 1945. The cover is dual cancelled in Majuro proper on September 2, 1995, 50 years after the surrender. The cover bears one SC #523 75 cent “V-J Day 1945" stamp with inscription. The cover is signed by Sailass Andrike, Director of Post for the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The creator of the cover is a member of the American Philatelic Society. The chop (lower left-hand corner) is the signature of the creator of the cover. This is a beautiful and unique cover to own.
