Lucky Penny Golf Ball Markers: Hand cut-out coins made in U.S.A. from a vintage copper large pennies

These genuine large copper one penny coins have been hand cut out by a coin jewelry cutter into Lucky Pennies!  Years ago they were used for spending (and worth a lot more than today's penny's).  Now they have been made into golf ball markers.  

You select the penny style you want from the county list in the drop down menu above, and we'll send you a similarly cut out coin like that pictured.  Your order includes only one full coin -- you get both puzzle coin pieces! (includes the inside clover shape and cut out clover full coin). And remember, just like clovers in real nature, each clover is different.  Your clover coin puzzle pieces will not exactly fit another coin.  Each is unique.

They do make for a fun gift for a golfer (or one needing a little token for good luck!)

Hand Cut Out in U.S.A.

These are not laser cut out, or machine punched made by the 1000's. Every coin is hand cut out by a coin-cutter with decades of coin-cutting experience, unique and different from the others, made from old demonitized copper pennies from Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand and Ireland; each will be slightly different from one another. Just like 4-leaf clovers in nature, your cut-out clover coin will be unique, unlike any other cut coin. And each will be positioned a little different on each coin. (See photos above.) All are made here in the United States.

When the clover design is cut into the coin and center clover removed, you can see right through the coin. And the center cut four leaf clover fits perfectly back in.  It's a puzzle coin.  You receive both pieces -- center cut clover and outer coin -- a perfect puzzle coin set. And, you also receive a gift pouch.  You could keep one for your self, and the other can be gifted to the lucky golfer.

*These One Penny coins are almost 50 or more years old, each taken directly from circulation decades ago.  They are not longer able to be spent.  We tumble polish each piece bring out the natural clean copper patina.  Over time, just like pennies of years' past, your four leave clover coins will oxidize.  You can always dip in tarnish remover to bring back the bright copper color.

About Four Leaf Clovers

A four-leaf clover is an uncommon variation of the common three-leaf clover. Tradition states that such leaves bring good Luck to their finders, especially if found accidentally. This coin is handcrafted using only jewelers tools, a steady-guided hand, focused eyes and patient cutting by a skilled coin-cutter. No laser-cutting machine is used! Coins have been use as jewelry for centuries, and 'coin piercing' as some may call it, is one of those crafts that involves piercing -- or cutting away -- a portion of the coin surface, leaving part of the design.

First, one or more holes are drilled through the surface of the coin, then using a fine-tooth jewelers blade, it is threaded through one hole at a time; the blade is guided around the coin design (or the shape you want to cut, such as a four-leaf clover), removing part of the coin. This offering is a little different, and a shape is cut into the coin, not around the coin design.
