A FOX IN THE HOUSE
A visually stunning and entertaining portrait of two dogs unhappy that a fox has been tethered to their kennel.
The springer looks on bemused and the larger dog lets off steam Signed lower right by Henry Allken the painting is attributed to this most famous of sprting artists of the Alken family and was painted circa 1830. It is in excellent condition with excellent provenance from The Parker Gallery and Christies London. A real gem of a painting with beautiful colour.
